Saving Up For Supper

May 2007

Written and Directed By
Andy Barrett
Julian Hanby

Synopsis

It's 1950, and our young hero Bily is in a quandary. Desperate to please the girl of his dreams he's doing anything that he can to raise the money to take her on the date of a lifetime. But things just don't seem to be going according to plan.

Meanwhile, in the present day, things aren't looking too good either. The church hall that has existed for 100 years is about to be closed down and a cut price supermarket looks set to move in. The appearance of a mysterious stranger might be our last hope - and the last hope for Billy too.

Join us for a theatrical evening with a difference! Rub shoulders with snooker players, cooks, headmasters, frogmen, pantomime dames and famous composers in a community performance to celebrate a remarkablw century old building that sits at the very heart of the town..
